Hello there, friend! I’m Ms. Grandma Reads, and I’m so glad you stopped by.
For over 50 years, I’ve been guiding little ones on their journey of learning and growing, and if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s this: a child’s success isn’t just about what they know—it’s about who they become.
That’s why I’m here, and why Alphabet Town: the abc’s of raising successful kids was created. This special place isn’t just about teaching letters—it’s about teaching values like kindness, patience, curiosity, and resilience, one little lesson at a time.
But I know parenting can feel overwhelming. There are so many things to teach, and sometimes, you might wonder:
Where do I even begin?
How can I help my child build strong values at home?
What if I don’t have all the answers?
Take a deep breath, because here’s the good news: you don’t have to do it alone.
So, Where Do We Begin?
The answer is simple: we start small.
Raising successful kids doesn’t happen overnight, and it certainly doesn’t require perfection. It happens in little moments, every day—the ones where we model kindness, celebrate curiosity, and encourage resilience.
Try this:
Pick one letter to focus on each week.
Talk about the value behind it. For example, ‘K’ is for Kindness—what does kindness look like? How do we show it to others?
Look for small ways to put it into practice. Maybe today, your child shares their snack with a friend. Maybe they say “thank you” to someone who helps them.
These small steps add up to lifelong lessons.

Progress, Not Perfection
One of the most important things I want to share with you is this: you don’t have to get it right every time.
Parenting is filled with moments of uncertainty. Some days will feel smooth, and others will feel messy. But here’s what matters most: every effort counts. When you model kindness, patience, and curiosity, your child learns by watching you.
So let’s take this journey together—one letter, one lesson, one little heart at a time.
Which letter will you start with this week? Let me know in the comments—I would love to hear from you.
I see you raising those kids so wonderfully. I'm proud of you.
